William L. Clemm, II

 

 

William L. Clemm was born in Syracuse NY on October 24, 1975. He graduated from Albany NY High School in 1993. He received a B.S. in Music Performance from Morgan State University in 1998. He sang in the world famous Morgan Choir from 1993-98. He was named Resident Assistant of the Year in 1996. A member of the Student Government, he was Umoja Council Director 1997-98.

 

 

 

He was initiated into the Baltimore Alumni Chapter on June 3, 2001. He has been Chairman of the Guide Right Committee from 2001 to time of publication. Clemm received the I.W.E. Taylor Award in 2002. He was the Eastern Province Director of the Year 2002-04. At the 76th Grand Chapter Meeting in Charlotte, NC in July 2003 he received the Large Chapter Bert V. Wadkins Award emblematic of the best Guide Right Director in the Fraternity. 

Clemm has pivoted his success as a Guide Right Director and with the Youth Ministry of Mount Olive Baptist Church to work with young adults in academia.  He began his career as a Resident Director at Bowie State University, 1998-99.  He was a Database Manager at Morgan State University from 1999-2001.  He became the Assistant Director of the Levering Student Union at the Johns Hopkins University and served from 2001-03.  In 2004 he was the Coordinator in the Morgan State University Event Office.  He stayed at Morgan State until 2010 where he accepted a job at the University of Maryland College Park as the Assistant Director of Event And Gift Services.  Clemm then decided to pursue his graduate degree.  He attended Florida A&M and graduated 2016; completing his degree in Management.  At Florida A&M he was the Director of  Activities at the Efferson Student Union.  In 2019, he accepted a position at North Carolina Central as the Vice Chancellor for Student Engagement.
